Designer Dorothy De Guara says 'handles look and feel magic' in new Port Melbourne kitchen project
When Interior Designer Dorothy De Guara was given the brief to re-imagine a Port Melbourne apartment kitchen, her client asked for a simple, smart kitchen placing emphasis on functionality and storage. The client requested light colours and wanted the overall design to add interest through the choice of details and some coloured surfaces.
The design also needed to overcome the challenge of creating a beautiful and functional kitchen within the limited space of a two-bedroom apartment.
High-end cabinet handles enhance bespoke cabinetry
De Guara recommended a choice of options for pull handles for the cabinetry. Her client decided to finish off the investment in the new kitchen with what the designer describes as an ‘exclusive, high-quality joinery pull handle’, the solid brass sand-cast Symm by Jolie from Two Tease. To match the decor, De Guara selected the Old Silver finish, one of four available.
“The handles look and feel magic. I feel they enhance the kitchen and add to the elegance of the joinery” said De Guara.
